Hemorrhoid Cure - Understanding the 3 Different Types of Cures

By Heidi T.

Hemorrhoids are a medical condition that is extremely common. They are caused by the inflammation of tissues within and around of the anal canal. While hemorrhoids are not deadly, they can certainly cause major discomforts to us with symptoms such as pain, itching and swelling. In general, a hemorrhoid cure can be classified into three distinct groups: diet, surgical and natural.

Diet

Hemorrhoids are closely related to straining during bowel movements, often due to constipation or diarrhea. In light of that, regular balanced diets and consumption of liquid, coupled with the avoidance for sensitive substances such as alcohol, is one hemorrhoid cure method.

Firstly, balanced diets with a slight inclination towards fiber will be extremely effective in curbing constipation. In order for this to work, it requires a sustained effort to provide a long term solution. Avoiding substances such as alcohol, oily food and soft drinks, on the other hand, significantly reduce the chances of us suffering from diarrhea.

By cultivating good dieting habits, we will be doing more than finding a cure to hemorrhoids, we will actually be embracing a healthier lifestyle.

Surgical

The hemorrhoids conditions that most people face can be suppressed by simpler methods such as the intake and application of herbs and medication. However, surgical hemorrhoid cure options are necessary in severe hemorrhoids cases.

Some of the more common surgical cures include:Rubber band ligation: Involves the application of an elastic band to the hemorrhoid to cut off blood supply, causing the hemorrhoid to shrivel and then removed from the body during normal bowel movement.Hemorrhoidolysis/Galvanic Electrotherapy: Drying up of the hemorrhoid using electrical current. Sclerotherapy: The method of shriveling hemorrhoids via the injection of hardening agent.

Natural

There are many different types of natural hemorrhoid cure methods as well. Some of these natural remedies such as the chamomile tea and Butchers Broom extract are internal (consumption required), while examples like aloe vera and Witch Hazel are natural astringents that can be applied to the affected area to soothe the pain and irritation.

Most of the natural remedies have been used to treat hemorrhoids since generations ago, and they have proven to be effective all these years. Treating hemorrhoids with both internal and external remedies concurrently will bring about the best result. For example, consuming Butchers Broom extract, which is anti-inflammatory and applying aloe vera externally, is an extremely effective combination.

There are different levels of severity to hemorrhoid conditions, each requiring varying methods to cure. For the serious cases, surgical methods are certainly required, but for most other cases, using a natural hemorrhoid cure with herbs will usually bring about the necessary quick relief.

Most importantly, cultivating a good dieting habit still holds the key to the long term solution and complete hemorrhoid cure.
